Steps:
1) Go to Server Manager → Add Roles
and Features → Server Roles → tick Web Server (IIS) → Click Next
2) Click Add Features
3) Expand .Net Framework 3.5 Features
and tick HTTP Activation → Click Next
4) Click Add Features
5) Tick Background Intelligent Transfer
Service (BITS) → Click Add Features
6) Tick IIS Server Extension under BITS
→ Click Next
7) Under Role Services → Scroll to Security and tick Request Filtering, Basic Authentication and Windows Authentication → Click Next
8) Scroll down to Management Tools → Make sure all the Management components are ticked → Click Next
9) In the Confirmation, click Specify
an alternate source path
10) Next, you will need to insert the
Windows Server 2012 installation DVD.
In the Path, key in
D:\sources\sxs\ and click OK (Win Server 2012 Source)
11) Once done, you should be able to see as
per below in the IIS Manager:
12) If you see below error after following
above steps:
13) You will need to click on
DefaultAppPool → Advanced Settings → Change the .Net Framework
