[INFO] Tool to zip up log files

Introduction

The following article describes how to use a tool which can help you zip up all the relevant log files for the purpose of sending them to InternetNow! for troubleshooting.

How to use:

  • Download the file and unzip it into your MailNow! installation directory. So if your MailNow! directory is  D:\MailNow, then the file needs to be saved as   D:\MailNow\ZipUpLogFiles.py

  • Open DOS prompt and switch to your MailNow! directory. Then execute  "python ZipUpLogFiles.py". You should see something similar to below:



  • Type in the dates of the log files you are interested in. In the example above, we decided to zip up all the log files from 25/01/2012 to 26/01/2012 (highlighted in red). Note that the format of the date is year-month-day.
  • The zip file generated will be mentioned on the last line as shown below (highlighted in blue):
